Owner-led since 2003
Ryan Boyer learned custom-home carpentry in California’s Santa Cruz Mountains before moving to Mammoth Lakes in 1999.
He founded Boyer Construction in 2003, building high-level custom homes, additions, and remodels. In 2016, he stepped in as vice president and COO to help restructure a reputable Truckee builder, then reopened Boyer’s doors once that company was on solid ground.

The documented portfolio spans custom homes, single-family residences, large additions, and remodels—from a 2,500-square-foot cabin replacement to a new 4,700-square-foot home.
It has before. The Hillside project was delivered across multiple phases while the client lived full-time in the house, ultimately upgrading and remodeling 75% of the residence.
Completed work includes geothermal ground loops, hydronic heated slabs, high-performance windows, multi-wall and roof thermal assemblies, smart-home technology, and modern lighting control.
Ryan Boyer is the owner. He began building custom homes in high school, founded Boyer Construction in 2003, and later served as vice president and COO while restructuring another Truckee custom-home builder.
